- Cut and measure all the ingredients of the recipe. Cook potatoes in a small pot with pepper water. Heat a large pot over medium heat and cook the bacon until the butter is soft and crisp. Add garlic, onion and cook until golden brown.
- Add celery, leek, thyme leaves and cook until the vegetables soften. Add the flour and stir and cook for about 4 minutes. Do not let the pot burn to the bottom. Add milk, bay leaf, bring to a boil and boil for about 15 minutes. Again, be careful; do not let the flour burn on the bottom of the pan.
